One would think that, as the children from a wealthy family, Rin and Len should be attending a more prestigious school. But Crossroads High and its specialized "career" courses are a big draw to a lot of students, even those from more higher class families. And this is the case for the twins. As an aspiring author, it would make sense that Len would want to attend Crossroads. And while there, he stumbles across a strange-looking book by pure chance.
For reasons he'll never admit, Len is uptight and formal. More often than not, he plays a sane man role to his friends and their oddities. True to his studious appearance, he's intelligent, and he takes a bit of pride in this trait.
Len's uptightness was (and still is) caused by the accidental deathes of his parents. While his sister coped through surrounding herself with a support system, Len coped through shutting himself in. It was only one year before he and Rin moved to Toenmedd that he could finally begin to open up once more. (Though, he could never really open himself up as much as he could, even after they've moved.)
Closest Relationships
At first glance, it seems like Mario and Len wouldn't get along at all... Len's overly formalness and Mario's overly casualness theoretically should clash, but the two get along rather greatly. It's a win-win situation for both of them, actually... Len can be that self-control for Mario and Mario can get Len to loosen up a bit more. (Although, maybe that whole both being a giant geek thing is what helps out their friendship.)
As twins, Rin and Len have been with each other through all of their life. For a short while, they were the only other person the other had. Rin is always pushing for her brother to liven up, even if she does it through a little teasing sometimes.
